I may be replacing my muffler soon. How much is a stock xb12x 2008 muffler worth? Has 21000 miles on it. How much does postage run for one of these?

Just pull it off, sand and reprint it gloss black with high temp paint. Looks fine for awhile
Stock pipe is generally worth $100 before shipping in good shape (not dented, deeply rusted or gutted)
Cost $20-30 to ship pipe.

I've found the engine paint holds up better than the BBQ paint, for what that's worth.

I took mine to a shop that sandblasted it then used high-temp powder coat (2 coats) and it looks brand new. Cost about $100.

The problem with sand blasting is that it is very difficult to keep the sand from getting into the inner core of the muffler. Once it is in there it isn't coming out. Same with media. Ask me how I know.
