The muffler Z bracket bolts for the M2 (my 2000 model at least) are just 5/16-18 x 1.5 inch, Grade 8. You can get these at most any hardware store.

I need to dig, but should have the stock one off my Ulysses somewhere (swapped to an air horn years ago).

Try something first. Remove the horn. On the back there's a blob of silicone. Shove a phillips screwdriver in there. That's the output adjustment. Give it a turn one way, then the other, to loosen the diaphragm. I've had them seize from non-use before - a couple turns on the screw can pop it loose and get it working again. Then, start the bike and use the screw to give you the most volume.

Also, check your fuses and make sure you have a working horn button...I want to say the horn is paired with the taillight. Neither is a good one to not-have...

Thanks Joe - I didn't think they were serviceable. fuses are good - the horn works, when you hit it it sounds like a duck call

That's an adjustment.

Make it with the bike RUNNING, so it's getting the correct voltage level. You will be amazed : )
