is this item:

an aftermarket, "hidden" rear caliper & mount for a post-'99 tuber [alloy swing arm]

or

a stock caliper & mount from a pre-'99 [steel swing arm] ?

Its not the hidden caliper, it was used on a 2000 X1,
Bike was sold last year, just parts in storage.

Sure looks like an S2 rear brake setup to me... But I guess it could 'fit' an X1.

Just like the "X1 CF lower belt guard" in a separate listing looks an awful lot like an S2 LBG... No idea how that would 'fit' an Aluminum X1 swingarm, though.

My .02,

Single piston?

How's it perform compared to the stock unit?

Is it a direct swap or does it require a different mc?

What pad's (compound) is this using?

Thanks.

Yes single piston as pictured, performance unknown as it was on my friends bike. Direct swap I think so.
Not sure on the brand of pads but they still have life left.
Still for sale!
