Author Message   Rcellucci Posted on Friday, January 04, 2013 - 11:37 pm:        I bought the Moose Racing Stainless steel wool and screen core sleeve kit(1860-0473) which protects and extends the life of the packing and the Moose racing Packing pillow kit 1860-0471. The packing is a ceramic fiber with a much higher temperature rating than fiberglass. Together these are supposed to extend the life of the packing 3-5 times. When I took the muffler apart, I realized that the former owner had used the exact same system, but had put in such crappy rivets that the (Jardine) muffler was coming apart. So all I had to do was re-rivet and, except for using 1/2 of one tube of end cap stuffing, these are as new. (The former owner did not use any end cap stuffing and 1/2 of one end caps worth is all i could stuff in. So: list is $69.90.
