For Sale - 1999 Buell X1 Runs REAL GOOD! Clean Title Story: I got back from Afghanistan and bought this bike as a "fixer upper", it did not run when i got it. The front lifter retaining pin broke, causing the lifter to spin, causing the valve to open further than it should, and the valve crashed into the piston causing all sorts of bad stuff in the motor. Sooo, i went ahead and disassembled the whole bike. I bought a HD Stage 2 kit (Heads, Cylinders and Pistons)& Screaming Eagle Cams and took the motor straight to Truitt and Osborne Cycle in Wichita Kansas. They made the motor all better. (It did require a new Jim's crank pin and connecting rods). I went ahead and had the frame, swingarm and seat frame powder coated Matt Black. I also bought a Baker Chain Kit and a New PM Front Wheel. Bike also has New Pirelli Diablo Corsa tires and a Race ECM. I did not replace the aircleaner, even though its stupid. It will need a battery. Too good to be true? Not really, im just tired of the lack of space. The bike just sits around, tired of doing the maintenance. First $3750 takes it, I will deliver 100 miles form my house (ZIP 66614). Sold As Is and No Refunds I will be selling my '08 1125r soon too, with a spare '09 motor.    | ||

i Wish i had the money or some thing to trade ive been wanting a x-1 because i like them better then my M-2 i drill in topeka at forbes with the Marines so this is the first one close to me damn timing sucks. | ||

having seen and rode this bike in person it is like brand new. actually runs better than a new x-1 ever did. super clean bike. he is selling it for less than what he has in the engine alone. good luck on the sale | ||
