He's watching ebay at present. The original cover MAY just be salvageable. It's hard to tell due to the "smearing" from the slide. Probably have to take it off and do some minor grinding, make sure the clutch cable "stub" and broken gear shifter bolt can be unscrewed, and then make sure it's not ground through or cracked.
