Fresh Wiseco top end has only 6 hours on it and runs great. Bike has all new clutch plates, and all plastics are new UFO except for radiator shrouds are still original. Chain, sprockets, and rear rotor & caliper were all new last February. Cycle Works seat is in excellent condition. Brand new shorty clutch lever and perch. DG header w/ stock pipe. Carbon fiber reeds. I have many receipts for maintenance records. Forks need rebuilt. I have a KYB rebuild kit. Parts will go with the bike or when I find the time, I'll do the work. Would love to trade for a project, basket case, etc. Would like another 2 stroke. Will consider street bikes as well. If it has more than 2 wheels, I'm probably not interested in it. (except for an 80's Ford Ranger diesel - REALLY want one of those. Price dropped to $1200 OBO. Would like to trade for a dual sport. DR350, XR250, KLX250, whatever. Something cheap, I can't add cash to a trade but have no problem showing an aged/neglected bike some TLC. Need to get something street legal, my brother-in-law is itching to ride and I'd love to give him his first bike! | ||

Amazing how much it looks like the later KDX-200's (but with better suspension!). I'd trade you even up for a 1971 Kawaski Bison (F8, 250cc) running with lots of spare parts.  Too bad I sold the KLR-250, I'd have traded you even up for that as well (where that would actually have bordered on a fair trade ). | ||

Interesting Bison, I'd never heard of those before. Not really what I'm looking for, but I had fun reading through your build thread on the dirt rider forum. That KLR would be perfect if you still had it. I'm looking at a 97 XR250 (now a 12:1 284) real nice running bike, just needs a speedo put back on it to be legal. Need to hurry up and sell this KX! |
