Factory race exhaust for XB. I sold my 09 XB12SS. I had this on my bike for about 6 months. It sounds great. There is a small scrape along the bottom as you can see in the pictures. The scrape is nothing major and you can't even see it when it's on the bike. Exhaust is solid and in VGC - $475 plus shipping.

I know naive questions, (please be patient)old time biker but new to Buell
1) I have a 2010 XT will it fit, chin spoiler?
2) what happens to exhaust valve
3) will I need Race ECM?
a) in general
b) or just for #2 - exhaust valve

This came off of my 2009 XB12SS. My chin spoiler fit just fine except for one of the holes on the side of the spoiler did not align properly with the mount on the exhaust. I did not put a bolt in this hole, as the spoiler was held very secure by the other bolts. I'm not sure but I believe the chin spoiler on the XT is the same as was on my SS.

As far as the exhaust valve goes, you just unhook the cable and tie wrap it out of the way. You can go to the XB section of this forum or do a Google search and you will find plenty of info about how this works.

I never bought the race ECM. I was told two things about this.

#1: If I wanted to get max power from the engine, then I should buy the ECM because it would work in conjunction with the race exhaust and increase power.
#2: I could just put the exhaust on and the factory ECM would adjust itself to the race exhaust.

I chose option #2 and I never had any issues. I was pleased with the amount of power that the bike had with the stock exhaust and I was pleased with it's power with the race exhaust. My main reason for wanting the race exhaust was it's sound. My stock exhaust worked very well and made the bike very quiet. I didn't want an exhaust that would be obnoxiously loud, but I did want a better sound than what I had. From what I had read, the factory race exhaust was not quite as loud as the Drummer exhaust and the people that had the factory exhaust really liked it. I had read a lot about the Drummer and how it was a great exhaust, but I also had seen several posts where people had sold their Drummers because they thought that it was too loud. I decided on the factory exhaust and was very pleased with it. I had to sell my bike because of job transition and I put my stock pipe back on the bike when I sold it.

Not sure about the exact length. I think the body of the exhaust may be a couple of inches shorter. It bolts up no differently than the stock exhaust. Here's what it looks like on the bike.

Ive always wondered - if the factory race pipe is so coveted why has nobody ever done a full recreation of it? I learned after talking to a guy at dragon V that folks have apparently tried this but their trouble with doing so is the fact that Erik and the guys did something with the tuning that no one has been able to replicate. Thus - the race pipe is not going to be fully maximized in terms of performance without the ecm that came with it. But dont misunderstand - im not trying to stump your sale. After all, you seemed to be pleased with it even though you didnt have the ecm so I'm sure other ppl would as well
