2008 Buell 1125R Anniversary Edition with a tad under 11,000 miles. I purchased this bike new in 2008 and have used it primarily as a commuter vehicle. It has given me 0 hassles. I'm only selling because I don't ride it much anymore and I'm buying a house. This bike has a new front tire (less than 100 miles) and a new-ish rear tire (less than 1,000 miles). It has an aftermarket touring seat (still have the factory seat). I also put in a new battery last riding season (still great!) The bike has spent 80% of its life under a cover (included). The only issues with the bike are cosmetic: I low-sided that bike going 30mph two years back, scuffing the left side mirror, left pod, primary cover, and rear swing arm. The mirror and pod were replaced. However, last July someone tried to steal the bike, damaging the ignition area (ignition was replaced but the aluminum is still gouged) and they also decided to drop the bike on each side, scuffing both pods and snapping off half of the clutch lever. Since I wasn't riding the bike much anymore I left the pods alone (they only cost $60 each and come painted). All of the cosmetic issues are shown in the pictures. I can take more photos if anyone wants them. Email at nathan.huffer@gmail.com or call/text Nate at 571-255-9968.

I'm not in the market but I appreciate the honesty and clear pictures. I hate it that some peeps tried to jack the bike. Glad they weren't successful. |

Overall, the bike looks clean. Pretty low cost to get all cosmetics fixed. Remember, fairing and pods are colored clear through, so it will take time, but all will buff out. Clutch lever and stator cover is probably the most bucks. I wouldn't worry about the ignition area. Swingarm isn't an issue. Put pucks on. If it were me, I'd sell it for $4700 firm to give the new owner some help with the 12k service that is needed. This bike is hardly used and new OP will definitely get their monies worth. |

Gschuette, thanks. Yeah, that whole incident infuriated me. Sometimes I feel it's impossible to have nice things when so many people nowadays feel entitled to your things. Two_seasons, yes, the bike is very clean. I was hoping to find a more-than-fair price considering the damage. I was torn between a "firm" price or one that has wiggle room. Needless to say, there's room for negotiation in the price. (Message edited by eagle1 on April 02, 2012) |
