Chris, $40 total for the gas cap.

Andy, the bike was not in a fire (its a donor for a chopper). All parts were painted by previous owner. The bushing looks in good shape.
$15 shipped for the exhaust bracket is spot on.

Basti, I think the front rotor was sold, let me check and get back to you.

Basti, the rotors are sold. Sorry bud.
Just touch base when you're ready to square away shipping. Your parts are still boxed up and put aside.

Just an FYI for anyone looking at parts from this seller: the exhaust bracket I bought from him is chewed up (the actual metal part of the bracket) on one side and the bushing that he said "looks to be good" is shot and completely chewed up on the same side. With the side of the bracket chewed up, if I install a new bushing it will simply chew of the new bushing!

Seller's response to me:

quote:

I'm not going to get into a debate over a ten dollar used part.

If I plasma cut that bracket it alone would go for three times what I sold that used bracket and bushing for.
For a ten dollar used bracket it can be cleaned up and used (It was used on my bike and served it's purpose afterall).

He "offered" to refund $10 of my $15 if I send back his defective part. So let's see here....I'd then be out $10-12 total and not have a part and then he can sell it to another board member?? No thanks.

I'm not investing anymore time or energy with a seller that lacks scruples. It's done and over with. I just thought I'd offer up a warning to the rest of the community.

Pictures of the bracket and the "looks to be good " bushing below:

It's nice that you neglect to mention how the very first words out of my mouth (after "I'm sorry your not satisfied with the bracket") were "If you would like to return the bracket I will be happy to refund you the purchase price (which was $10 as stated above)."

I run a business and followed procedure for returns. Typically all used parts are non-returnable, however I made an exception as a show of good faith.
I do not refund shipping charges, it's company policy.

Look around, companies do not refund shipping charges, and even Paypal disputes dictate only the purchase price is refundable (I know because I just had to deal with that as a buyer last month).

I've sold off basically the entire bike to guys on this forum, and you are the only one that has had a complaint...over a Ten Dollar used exhaust bracket.

Again, I'm sorry that you are not happy with the condition of your ten dollar used exhaust bracket.
As I've mentioned in the numerous emails back and forth with you:
You are more than welcome to return it for a refund of the purchase price.

-Matt

I did say that, read my post. You offered to refund $10, which means I'm out shipping both ways for a mis-represented, broken part.

No worries, I'm over it. Karma's a bitch tho. I'm just looking out for the community. A community which has, by the way, since stepped up and sent me 2 different brackets free of charge.....not even shipping. That's the kind of folks that hang out around here, we take care of each other.

Good luck to you.

Well, at this point absolutely everything has been sold!
Every nut, bolt, peg and light I wasn't planning to keep or use on my chopper build has been sold.

Thank you all for your purchases, and a special thanks to those who sent follow-up emails once they received the item stating how happy they were with the purchase and the condition of the item (which was all...oh yeah, all except ONE).

Good luck with all your projects!
-Matt
