Hate to say it, but this guy is just ripping people off. I sent him some money for a top triple and never heard from him again, aside from the 2 emails I got a week later asking for my address again. The guys life must be so sad that's he's creating his own Buell Welfare so the people with real jobs can share our income with his lazy ass. I'd look elsewhere if you need something.

If any of you guys happen to be friends with him, tell him to send me my money back.

Best to always check to post count on people putting ads up, if they are really low try a search for posts by the person to see what sort of impression you get of them.

I generally avoid buying from people who appear to have just joined the board in order to sell stuff. We try to be generous here and trust people - that's the general feel of the board, helping other Buellers out, but you've still got to check on folks you haven't made much contact with.

I hope he comes back around to make things right with you Josh.

No problem.

So for you, I would have a hard time pulling up posts just due to the total volume. I'd probably search a sampling since you've got 1176 posts, easy part is that you've only been a member for 17 months. The search tool will let you put the number of days in, though you cannot focus more than a certain number of days back.

Also, the total post count compared to the membership duration provides a quick impression that even though you've been a member for that "short" period of time, you have a fairly vested interest in the board (considering how much time you have to spend here to get that many posts in a year and a half).

If I was new here, or hadn't seen your name before, I could read a general sampling of your posts to get an impression of your attitude and if I was comfortable making a purchase from you.

It's not an exact science, but a good method to use with unfamiliar handles. Just be aware that there are short timers with many posts, and old timers with few.

If all that fails, trust your gut. If it feels sketchy it's probably better to skip the deal. You can do this with ebay too, to some extent.

This post is for everybody's general knowledge. To some it may seem common sense, to others it is unfortunately a hard, or expensive lesson learned. My work gives me a valuable insight into criminal thinking patterns and behavior.
