I really don’t want to do this, but apparently Uncle Sam has better uses for my money than I do. Therefore I’m selling my 1997 Buell S1. Its undergoing restoration and needs to be finished. It is almost complete. It rolls and has most parts installed. It needs the brakes finished and a bit of wiring hooked back up. It will need oil added and the primary chain tension adjusted, but other than that it should fire up easily. It ran great when I disassembled it. I had the frame and most small parts powder coated flat black. The rims were powder coated bright red. The engine has less than 9000 miles on it. The rear swing arm is from a 2001 X1 and has had all the fender mounting points ground smooth. It comes with the following parts. 1997 Buell S1 with clear title Extra set of red rims (bearings removed but included) Extra brake disks, front and rear 2001 X1 swingarm installed Buell brand carbon fiber tail Buell brand carbon fiber heat shield Buell brand carbon fiber air cleaner American Sport Bike carbon fiber front fender Unknown brand carbon fiber windscreen Black tale section Black windscreen Red windscreen Red front fender Stock seat Buell Race seat Brand new Vance and Hines Carbon fiber exhaust Used unknown (Borla?) carbon fiber exhaust Stock red fuel tank Black fuel tank Bike stand American Sport Bike billet shifter American Sport Bike billet rear brake lever 2 Flywheels, one drilled with lots of holes Extra rear bracket with custom LED tail light Box of parts to complete and some spare parts The bike is in Charleston South Carolina and will need to be picked up. There are so many loose parts that it can’t really be shipped. I do not want to part this out. I want it to go to someone who wants to finish the project and enjoy it. I will probably keep it before I part it out. Please email me if you have any questions or need any additional pictures.

Dang it! If I could buy the bike and hide it, I would do it. If my wife found out I bought another tuber, she would put it where the sun does not shine. |

Joel- sorry to see you're having to sell your baby. It's been a few years since I saw it, but that's gonna be a sweet bike when someone finishes putting it together. |
