OK....That's It! I Must Have One! An XB12S that is.

Therefore my trusty '96 S1 must go! I am offering it here to my friends at BadWeb before it goes up for auction on Ebay. I am looking to get $3,000 for it. I will help with shipping, but it would be at the buyer's expense. I perfer local pick-up, but do not have a truck of my own, so cannot help much.

Here is a description. Please e-mail me with any questions.

1996 Buell S1 with 37,0xx miles. I've definetly had my fun on her! Runs good, but does seem to be puking more oil as the miles keep getting higher and higher. The top end of the motor was rebuilt at 20,000 with the performance tweaks listed below. The bike did go down on the left side about 3 years ago and was rebuilt. All damage was cosmetic, with the exception of the elimination of the rear passenger peg mount(s). I simply ground them flat and re-painted over them. Here are some of the features of the bike. There are way too many to try and list, so just e-mail me if you have any questions.

Engine
Bored .30 over
Thunderstorm Pistons
Thunderstorm Heads (Ported, Polished & Planed)
Custom ground cams
Stock carb re-wored (tighter springs, bigger jets)
YoDude Intake (forcewinder knock-off)
HPC coated header
V&H Slip-on (logo plate fell off)
Buell Pro Series Ignition Module (6,800 rpm)
Pro Series Spark Plug Wires
Screamin' Eagle Coil

Drivetrain
28 Tooth Aluminum Front Pulley (1 up from stock)
New Drive belt 500 miles ago
New Barnett Carbon Fiber Clutch 700 miles ago
Chromed Buell Rear Pulley cover

Misc
New style tank (no bubbling letters!)
Polished front swingarm support
Chromed rear brake caliper mount
D207's from an XB9 with less than 850 miles
Bar-end mirrors
Pro Series Footpegs (some srapes from The Dragon!)
M2 seat (more comfortable!)

The front fender has a small chip in it, which I touched up, but the rest of the plastics are in excellent condition.

This bike is in good shape for it's age/milage. This would make an exceptional drag bike, track bike, or simply a bad backroad bruiser! I have used it for all types of riding and have never been let down.

Because this post is getting aweful long, I'll leave it at that. The bike is located near Cleveland, OH. If you would like pictures or any further info, please e-mail me at jasonfuhst@hotmail.com

I'm sorry, but just a couple of more things.

- The bike has PM wheels which are in good condition, but could probably use a wet-sanding.

- The pic in my profile is a couple of years old, but should give you a pretty good idea.

- All recalls have been completed.

- I installed another set of new rear isolators while changing out the belt about 500 miles ago.

Sorry....that should be about it. But please e-mail me if you have any questions.

Jason,
Please contact either myself or Pete in Service regarding your S1 on 570 992 7500. The poor guy has been on a Road Load and needs a Buell.
Thanks

Kahuna,

Thanks for the advice, but I've ridden over 1,000 miles on the new XB12S, and I just love it! I've had my S1 for 4 years now, and it's just time to move on.

Yea Kahuna,

The guy's got over 37k miles on his S1. Seems he rides his bike, doesn't just "pose" with it. : D

Sorry for the band width in "for sale", but it's relevant.... Last weekend my T-Storm S1 got pulled up Mosport's back straight by an XB9S. He swore it was stock except for a race kit. Wow.

Had chassis galore, too.

They still look funny...

Sorry everyone, but the S1 is SOLD.

The lucky new owner is: BigHairyRalph!

Sorry to the other guys who I was speaking with earlier in the day. Ralph made a strong offer, and I accepted.

Next week at this time I'll be breaking in my new XB12S!!!

I'm just trying to figure out why I had to buy an entire bike just to get my S1WL seat back : ) It'll be nice to be on an S1 again. Anyone looking for a Champions Edition R1?

Sorry Brad, I won't be parting this bike out. Although, I never have parted an S2, wanna work a trade?

Tripp, what'cha want for that S1WL? I've got a little money left
