I started to work on Milly today I pulled off the lower chin fairing, rear tire hugger, oil catch can, air box cover, battery died on me so that went. Then installed the parts on the polished alloy tail section I bought from Scarecrow. Milly is going to have a brand new rear section. In the process of uncovering more of the bike I found the battery cable was almost chewed in half by the final drive belt. Here are some photos

Did you ever get the flyscreen decal off ebay? Someone a couple days ago had ALL the X1M bodywork posted on there...
If you need a hand, or a space to disassemble, just let me know. Got pitbulls, got rear axle static stands, got specialty tools, got manuals, got space in the garage now that the Spirit R/T is running and gone...BYOB (and kerosene for the heater) and I'm more than happy to help out!

Thanks Rat for the offer I'm having fun with it. I got the Fly screen decal, 2 of them, one for $3.00 and the other for 5.50 I was watching some of them go up to really hi prices then I guess after everybody was done bidding the seller kept posting more up for sale. There are 2 of them now posted on e-bay for $3.00 each. tempted to buy more at this price then hold them for years......
I'm starting to buy lots of hardware now that some e-bay sellers are listing even if it is a hit or miss on this I can still turn them around for sale |

Be forewarned...I'm right at 6' with a 34" inseam, and my knee is in constant contact with the can. At first it sucked, but with the addition of a small bit of padding, my knee just locks on, and it's like an additional body/bike leverage point.
Doesn't bother me at all except on hard stops.
If you check the American Sport Bike catalogue, you'll see they actually have all sorts of colors for the outer plate. This is a strong, well machined unit. Cudna dun better myself, 'cept I can't even spell CNC. I can just see "Millie" engraved on the plate.
Be sure to loctite on installation...don't want no screws goin' down the ol' intake, now do we?
Goin' nutz for my Bankes. Absolutely nutz. I've got an alloy dash comin' from BTR. Also have a cut down cam cover ready to go on. Waitin' on new RKR box gskts. Should be a fun garage time wknd!
