Well, I took the ol' lady for a ride, and she said "no way" to the idea of touring on it, so I guess I'm in the hunt for a Uly or an r1100rt.... or some other touring bike. I got this bike in a trade/cash deal just under a month ago...... it has 3300 miles on it, brand new (less than 200 miles) pilot road 2's on it, napolean bar end mirrors, deleted cheese grater. Only real damage to it is the rear rim got scratched during a flat repair. (previous owner's incident which I will verify to be believable, had to clean a bunch of slime off the rim when we put the new tires on. The bike apparently went down at a low/stopped speed at some point, because there is a faint mark on the frame puck (LH) and two bolts show damage on the shifter slightly (replacements have been ordered) With the sale I will fill the bike with whatever type of oil you want, I will adjust the primary chain, adjust the clutch, lubricate the neck bearings.... delivery is also available. Feel free to make any offers or trade offers.. For the cruiser/touring trades, please no japanese bikes! No offense, just a matter of personal snooty-ness. Otherwise, throw something out there! The worst I'll do is laugh...  Oh, and that little thingy hanging out of the left side of the tail is a pigtail for a battery tender. BUMP  Don't shake hands on a bike if you haven't talked to your wife about it! What the frig? Well, here she is. 4100 miles on it now, and I'm going to ride it every day so that figure will change. Engine/tranny oil is now mobil 1 SYN Vtwin 20-50, clutch is internally adjusted and primary set to middle of range. RUNS PERFECT. Emails are being returned on prior offers now. | ||
