No need to remove the info. I've been trying to respond here instead of keeping everything PMs because it's simpler and I can try to answer questions once instead of emailing 15 different people the same response privately.

I'll have to check out fedex, thanks for the tip.

As requested, contents of the "lucky bag":

These front axle covers are for sale, but the right one has some scratches on the pegasus. It's been so long since I messed with shifter setups that I don't remember which parts are for the banke and which are for the 01+ buell shifter. Everything I have for either setup is in this picture though.

used X1 tank bra - the elastic strap that goes under the front of the tank cover is broken, but all the velcro tabs are still intact.

couple sets of rocker box covers - one of them has the rocker boxes as well. then there's the 2000 X1 owner's manual.

the white plastic bag is full of stainless hardware for primary cover, cam cover, tail section, handlebar clamp, maybe some other stuff.. can't remember all what I purchased. This was for the S3 project. The clear plasitc bags are from a chrome hardware kit for sportsters.

O2 sensors, an engine temp sensor, I think the small black units are bank angle sensors, and there's a fuel pump. I've never used it.

couple of stock pistons. Again, I'm unsure of their history. I got them off ebay with the heads I used for my X1 rebuild and planned on using the pistons for my S3.

a C02 bottle. Used to be used for an air shifter on a drag car. I had plans to make it a giant shiny catch can.

I found the shift drum and detent plate, but I don't have the clip that attaches the plate to the drum.

I got these off ebay for the X1 but never used them. I think they're originally designed for softail axles but were modified by the ebay seller to fit tuber axles.

some shiny hose clamps - they look good with SS braided lines

the three boxes are 2" exhaust clamps. I used the 2.5" variation on my X1 and have nothing but good to say about them. with just a little exhaust sealer underneath the band during installation, they do a great job of sealing up the exhaust while allowing for the smallest amount of flexibility - lowering the risk of broken header studs and exhaust mounts.

here's a couple pics of how the jeg's clamps look on my X1.

I didn't get a picture of it, but I also have what appears to be a never used tank bra for a manta tank.

I want to live like no one else, so that later I can live like no one else. (Dave Ramsey)

I'm 23 and single and have 7 vehicles - 5 are paid off but it's still stupid and WAY excessive to have that much STUFF. A year and a half from now I'd like to be debt free other than my mortgage so that I will have the option of transferring with my job to a new location and still keep my house here in Oklahoma as a rental. Eliminating two vehicle payments and a couple credit card bills would free enough of my monthly income to allow two mortgage payments worst case scenario. Best case scenario - my current house stays rented after I leave Oklahoma and pays for it's own mortgage.

And yes, I already have plans in place to be at homecoming this year on my XT.

How's about this:

I'll mail you a check for $50 for the other tail piece, and include a pre-paid shipping label. That way you don't have the hassle of the shipping end of things (just need to drop it off) and we get the benefit of my FedEx account discount....you make the full $50 on the part. Sounds like that will net you more than the other one! : p

And good luck with the Dave Ramsey stuff! He knows his stuff!

My income has been cut by about 75% this year (is this recession over YET?), but thankfully I entered it debt free (other than mortgage), and I will emerge from it debt free as well!

Andy that sounds good. If you don't mind, let me know how much the shipping costs you so I have something to compare the UPS cost with for my own future reference.

That bag was a little bigger than the first pic! I thought initially is was a $100 to $200 bag, but I'd say it's quite a bit more than that, now.

Sounds good.

I'm good for it for sure. Can you box it up, measure it and approximate the weight? You are correct-dimensions of boxes like this affect the cost greatly. So the best bet would be to wrap the item good with some paper and/or bubble wrap and then "custom make" your box to fit it as closely as possible. It doesn't need to be pretty! Just needs to contain the product and protect it.

let me know when you get the dimensions. Thanks!

With all respect to Lander_x1... if you don't ship internationally I would take the Force intake as well as the rectifier.

Happen to have a petcock in there too?

Thanks!

Lander and twowheelterror - Look closely at the third pic down in my latest post with pictures. That forcewinder elbow has some deep rash on the outside, and although it isn't visible in any of the pictures, the filter is ripped halfway around the rubber ring that slides over the elbow. I'll sell for $50 + shipping which is great if you want to do some sanding and painting. Let me know for sure if you want the filter. It "could" be repaired redneck style, but if you're going to just buy a new one then I'll save you some shipping costs and leave it out.

Just make sure you both know what you're getting before buying though.. and Lander I'll ship to Mars if needed as long as you pay the fees : ) Twowheel, you're next in line.

Andy, the UPS box needed was 28x12x12 and fit pretty well. just enough space around the edges for packing. Total weight was 11 lbs and change.

PK,

I need a set of X1 headlight brackets to switch the inverted showas on to my M2. Please pm me if you have a set and we can work out the details. I'm also looking for one engine mount bracket (to add the extra one to my front M2 engine mount like the later X1 and S3). Thanks.

Bikertrash05 - $60 plus shipping for the CO2 bottle, only looking for that much because polishing it wasn't cheap. Out of all the parts I've had polished, the finish on this bottle for some reason turned out the best and has lasted a LONG time without tarnishing. It seems like the pores are smaller in the metal or something because it just isn't dulling like a lot of my other polished parts do. You may not like this idea, but just so you know the fittings on the mount of the bottle are the perfect size to thread SS braided lines into. That's the method I had planned for getting breather lines routed into it since there's no pressure to worry about.

Surfhonu - No rubber pieces, there are metal threaded pieces welded into the the ends of the S3T bars for mounting those mirrors. I've never used the mirrors or S3T bars and that's how I bought them. I believe S3T bars are the same thing as what's on your blast. $70 + shipping for both the handlebars and mirrors if you want them.

Twowheelterror - your forcewinder and voltage regulator shipped out today. (keep an eye out for an orange Nike shoebox)
The bad news is I don't have a tracking number for you.
The good news is I saved a lot on my shipping costs by switching to USPS!

Kalali - must be wishful thinking, BUT replacing your X1 bars with my S3T bars would effectively raise them : )

Bishopjb - glad to hear that the tail arrived and you're happy with it. Thanks for your purchase.

Bobsled - nevermind, you're buying race ecm, x1 wiring harness, and x1 tank + cap. I just lost track of the emails.

Phelan - $100 shipped for 01+ and banke shifter parts, and 2 sets of pegs. Let me know which pegs you need rider/passenger, but I'd like to let rt get 1 pair of the rider pegs since he asked specifically.

btw I noticed in your profile:
Favorite Rides (Roads and Routes): whichever road I was on in Missouri (63 IIRC?)

I really doubt 63 was the one. Maybe 54? 63 is practically interstate except that the exits are setup a little differently so it's straight, boring, AND deadly.

rt - $25 shipped for a set of rider pegs.
