This is a signature series model #739 of 1399. I am the original owner and have never abused or raced this bike. Have always considered it to be a future collectable so have done only a single mod. This was to change to a V&H muffler but will include the original with the sale. Have owners and maintenance manuals. The sale also includes a frame I made to showcase the signature series paperwork and signed cover along with an additional original cover. This S2 has the touring bars, custom painted hard saddle bags (original Buell logo). Reply with any questions. Just don't ride anymore and this bike deserves more than I can give.

I think Frank should rescue this one, it's in pristine condition, comes with all documentation, and is the faster color, Blue!
A VERY nice bike indeed!

Yeah, I wish, that is one of my favorite colors for the S2 and this bike has not been screwed with. That motor, possibly the best Harley ever made, will last many miles longer than some current bikes with only minor modifications.

If anyone is looking to be part of a great group of Buell Enthusiast and is a fan of the S2 you will not find many S2s like this one. Many people think it looks odd or the water cooled bike is way better or the Uly, as capable as it is, is the end all of everything Buell. While those bikes are great products there is nothing that screams class than a person riding one of these bikes day after day without complaining about heat off the header, rotating motors, clutch cover leaks, blinker goes out etc etc.

When you see someone on a tuber, any tuber, I immediately think that person has an idea of how bikes work, is not afraid of working on his own bike and has respect for machinery. Tubers are not for everyone, some people need the power, versatility or reliability (pick two) of other models of Buell but I bet my last dollar that the last Buell on the road will be a tuber.

I think it is priced too low and I just saw a S2T in my area for sale for 6K and think that is a far price for one that has been taken care of like this one.

Kitert, I am going to steal your idea of how to display the signature series documentation.

Frank

Frank,

I am honored that you would but I was once told you can never steal that which is free. If you don't want to make one I know where you can get an original for only $3900. Really I just got a charcoal grey felt covered matting, laid it out, and cut it with a craft knife. Simple any easy just took one afternoon.

Bartimus,

I actually have rescued this bike once before. When I saw it she was about to be used as a parts bike for a racing team up in Michigan back in '96. I just fell in love with this color. Once parked next to a Viper that was basically the identical color. Wish I had a picture of that. This bike was also part of a calendar shoot back in '98 at the local Hooters in Toledo. I need to find that picture.

Bump - Also wanted to mention that I have the tank and fairing bags, rear pulley cover that isn't installed, tank protector (bra), and a dust cover.

I don't think you get more money for the bike with the accessories. Why don't you sell them separately and make some extra money which would allow you to part with the bike easier? I'd love to take the fairing bags out of your hands; willing to pay top dollars for them. Cash in hand and waiting to throw it in your direction . . .

I'm sure he'll sell you the bags for $3,900, and throw a free bike into the deal.

Bernard,

I will give your comment some thought. However, I have been contacted by a couple of interested parties and don't feel right selling some of the items out from under them. If none of them decide to purchase the bike I will let you know. The fairing bags are sure nice to have.

By all means, if you have some interested parties for the whole package, go for it! It actually makes me happy to see a clean, original tube frame Buell, and it fills my heart with sadness to read over and over, everywhere, that people try to figure out what they can change next on their Classics.

Just from a purely financial perspective, if you are looking to get an x amount of dollars, it sometimes makes sense to separate a package up to a certain point by selling the accessories. The worst think I can think off is parting out an intact bike, and people do that to Buells all the time.
