Anyone interested in purchasing an 04 XB12R that has frame damage? I have pics coming soon, but a quick run down of the damage list is trashed frame (not dented...cracked!), broke swingarm (I have an extra with light rashing), busted up tail assembly (plastic could be reused, but is scarred on top), busted turn signals (on right side), piece missing from faring mount, but it is still useable, front wheel rashing and right side handlebar needs replaced. Other than that, the bike has plenty of good parts and the motor sustained no damage. Bike has 22K miles and motor has 6K miles. It has after market LED headlights, Buell factory race kit (pipe, ecm, K&N). Bike is red with amber wheels and actually doesn't look bad. I have an 06 that I am working on and really don't want to mess with parting it out if I get a decent chunk for the whole bike as it sits. Again, I know pics say much more and they will be coming soon. It would be easier to send them email, since the detail is hard to see in the thumbnails. I also have some extra parts I'll throw in for the right buyer if their is interest in the whole bike purchase! Thanks! Oh! MAy not help, but bike can be viewed via profile pre-accident. | ||

Too far away from me, but if someone buys it for a part out, I'd be interested in the front wheel if it is really still true. | ||

It should be. The rear section is what hit the hardest and why the frame cracked. Might be a little out of balance because if it loses any metal, I imagine it throws the weight off a bit. | ||

One thing you didn't mention was the title... Is it still clear or is it a salvage/repair title now. Might make a difference to someone. | ||

It has been branded a salvage title, but I have a title for the motor as well as the bike because it came from a different 04 XB12R. Frame is not re-useable anyway, so basically, you are buying almost everything you need to rebuild a bike minus the frame, subframe and a few misc parts. Bike rolls and I went to crank it up, but there was a loud clicking form the relay switches (?) on the left side. It turned over once and then started making that noise. I am going to try and at least get it running so that people understand that the motor is fine, but there has been no issues with the running condition since I've had it. | ||

Yeah, that's more beat than I had thought. My first thoughts were to drain and vent the frame, force it back into alignment and weld the sucker. But I bet it is not only cracked but bent and way beyond fixing even for some kind of track thrasher. I may want both wheels if they are both still true, depends on the price. All I know right now is that my current front wheel is a bit out so I kind of want to replace it and see about getting it straightened. | ||

dang, 6 months ago i'd a been on this, i've been sitting on a dented but totallly functional 04 frame with intentions of making a track bike, and here it is. But unemployment is a bizznitch. Not to high-jack your thread but i'd take 100 bucks for my frame right now. Someone could have a rightous track bike for under 2g's just a thought  | ||

The motor is also from an 04 XB12R. Even the same color! May get a frame from WhitetrashXB and bring her back to life, but I have another one I need to get running first. Sorry, not parting her just yet, but she is available for full purchase. | ||

Thought I had a picture on my profile before the accident, but I guess not. Update: Ordered a subframe and this would come with the bike now. Looked through the extra parts and I have 2 turn signals, oil pump, oil cooler, rear caliper, front caliper, half moon mounts for exhaust, belt tensioner, and a bracket that mounts the motor (not the front). Nothing too exciting, but they will come with the bike also. There are more to look through, but that would be up to you whether they"re worth a damn. I have headers that are scraped, a starter (all in pieces), and aright side peg bracket that caught some fire damage. I'm cleaning house with this thing! | ||

So far, lots of interest from chopper guys, and if it happens to go that route, I have a set price on the essentials and plan on reusing the race can, ECM and filter for another project. If I just sell the wheels, motor and forks for chopper parts, then I plan on keeping the rest of the bike and parting her out or keeping what I can for extras on my other XB12R. I'll keep you posted, but if someone buys the whole thing for a part out, then I would keep my eys open for it! Still waiting for someone to even come look at it! It runs just fine! | ||
