I've been looking at pics of Ulys and noticed something different on a few. I'n not familiar with the bikes enough to know what lies beneath each motor cover....on my Twin-Cam HDs it's called the timer cover even though the ignition is under the seat.

Anyway, what I'm talking about is the cover on the left hand side below the cylinders that is round and says Buell on most bikes but Iv'e seen some pics where that cover is larger, more rectangular shaped, and says Thunderstorm.

What's the difference.

The oval shaped ones are the 2008+ bikes. Totally different bottom end on those bikes, see the New Uly Owner section, it covers the changes in detail.
