I'm going to be putting a '00 X1 engine into a '97 S3 frame, and will be keeping the DDFI, so I've got a frame that will only fit a header that doesn't have an O2 sensor bung  I'm looking to spend as little as possible and I don't care too much what kind of condition your header or complete exhaust is in. Would really like to find an old broken force pipe. I've got a stock X1 muffler that I don't mind using, but will need something with a 2.5" collector for that to work. Let me know what you've got.. I may have some spare X1 parts to trade. Possibly even some S3 parts. Let me know what kind of deal you're looking for and we'll go from there.. | ||

Phil, You can beat the hell out of a x1 header and get it to fit in that frame, if you wanted to go that route. | ||

for the most part, I don't like the appearance of the 99+ header - that's why I'm looking for another. It's fine on my X1 to look clean and kinda sporty, but for my S3 I would prefer to have the raw, more badass look of the pre-99 header bends. | ||

Gotcha, theres a stainless s1 header on ebay right now, 2" outlet though. I agree about the headers, i never liked the 99+ |
