Author Message   Stoked Posted on Monday, May 25, 2009 - 01:37 am:        1999 Buell X1 with little over 8000 miles. Not a perfect Buell so only asking $2200. The good: Good title, new belt, new rear tire, good tread on both tires, race ecm, new brake pads with extra set to go with bike. upgraded stock shock replaced the recalled unit, and only just over 8000 miles. Not so good: Previous previous owner apparently dropped it on right side and "customized it" to repair damage. New aftermarket intake was added, does not come with either the small front flyscreen or lower. Small scratch shown in pick below. The shift linkage has a crack in it but I still use it. That one was my fault after re-installing during primary chain inspection. It needs a correct headlight lens cover. I have clear plastic on it now and it gets me by. I have painted over the "custom" paint job the previous owner had because it was hideous. It doesn't look bad but not a great selling point. Needs new oil pressure switch also, I broke it putting new shock on. At least I think that's what that sensor was. Doesn't stop it from running. Hopefully I've covered it all. The hugger fender is also gone and a "custom" eliminator kit is on it. I like it so depending on your taste that could be either good or bad. Has good stock header w/2.5 inch exit but I currently have a automotive tube muffler on it. Looks funny, but runs and sounds good. Another issue that I'm just not sure about is the oil consumption. I put fresh oil in it when I got it and I've only put 3000 miles on it and have added about half a quart between when I first got it and now. I replaced the rear rocker box cover in that time so not sure how much of that actually leaked out/blew out through intake/ ect... But want to make sure I divulge everything I know about the bike because it is AS IS once sold especially at this price. It's 2200 OBO. Not the common louvered low flow cherry bomb.
