It's a long shot, but thought I'd post just in case. I have a race muffler on my '95 S2 that I adapted (with an automotive 2" to 2.5" spacer) to the stock header, but would love to have a race header to finish the kit. Cosmetics must be perfect, or at least able to be polished to perfect - when I ride it to work, I get at least one uninitiated customer each day ask "what model is the new Buell outside?". It's that clean of a bike.

MUST be for S2 - it has the 'crooked' airbox. PM me your info if you have one collecting dust, thanks : )

I paid $325.00 for the race header thinking it was something special but next time I will just cut the 2 inch outlet and add enuf to accept a 2 1/2 muffler saving $300.00

Yeh, I've 'made it work' on mine. It's a personal thing, I'd rather have the complete set on the bike.

And for what its worth...my S1W had a stock header and V&H SS2R on it. When I changed to the race header and exhaust - with NO other changes - the butt-o-mometer read a MUCH better powerband : )

I was under the impression that both versions of the early frame race headers would fit with the S2 airbox. Am I wrong? I believe Frank has the latter version on his, and the early version had much more room between the two head pipes... Is your S2 as clean as BluesBoy's? I think he spends more time waxing and polishing than going to work : D.

Gotcha. I haven't tried putting my S1W header up to the S2 yet..I guess you're right though, the only difference is the "S" early pipe to the later "T" shaped pipes.

And for 24,000 miles...it's pretty darned clean : )

I can get one tomorrow. Recipe is:
Relay under the tail section, on the frame.
PIAA wiring harnesses down the frame rail to the nose, one for the switch (mounted to the left fairing support at the bottom of the dash) and one for the lights. Trigger wire tapped into high beam wire. Low beam, nothing. High beam, *cook* : ) If I want to override (like, if the Kuryakn volt meter tells me my ground terminal on the battery is loose) I can hit the button on the PIAA switch, and normal high beam. They are 35W powersport lights, though - less draw than 55w lights. I want to say 510X? I forget..musta drowned that brain cell, lol.

Had to drill 2 holes in the bottom of the fairing (ouch - thought about that one for a LONG time), one for each light. Lights have 2 holes in their brackets, the second (inboard) I ran a zip-tie to the support bar to give 2 point mounting and to help take the weight of the lights off the fiberglass.

And...I must confess, the pic is about a year old. It's pre-Works shock and EBC rotor. : )
