GOOD:
-1999 Buell X1 Lightning
-Tube frame
-1203cc motor with Screamin' Eagle Air Filter
-Race ECM
-Buell Pro Series Race Exhaust system
-Aftermarket seat
-Brembo front and rear brake upgrade
-Have all original parts taken off (except fenders)
-Have original manual and service paperwork
-NEW Dunlop tires have less than 1000mi on them
-Fresh Screamin' Eagle Synthetic Fluids
-17243mi
-NO LEAKS
-Have front carbon fiber fender, but it is cracked.
Overall it isnt the cleanest bike on here but it still is a great tuber and is very fun to ride not to mention at a great price.

NOT SO GOOD:
-Once motor is put under load it starts to choke out, similar feeling to running out of gas. Bike runs but cannot really be ridden.
I recently found the header to be cracked and thought this may be the problem. Header was professionally welded and I took the opportunity to replace the old O2 sensor also. However, there no change in the way the bike runs.

I would love to try the head sensor. but i just threw $100 bucks doing the 02, new oil, plugs and welding the header. Unfortunately, Im tired of dropping money in it. I want a Uly. Is there a way to test the head sensor?

Just throwing this out there; did you check the battery cables? I had a similar problem (TWICE) and it was because the cable snapped in half. It'd idle, but it would die under throttle.

I have not, I will do that tomorrow. However, the bike more than idles, I mean I can ride this thing as hard as I want and it runs fantastic for about 6 minutes, then BAM it runs terrible. Im sure it is something simple and stupid but until I find out what it is, it stays up for sale.

could be the cam position sensor. Drill out the timing cover rivets and check it too see if the goo is all melted.....can cause all sorts of problems...

could also be the coil. Lots of things change once the bike heats up. I think you can get both of those parts new for about $45 each.
