Bump
Seat up for sale again. It is the single in excellent condition. Does not have the strap however, which I guess was the issue. Pics, later today.

I have an original S1 seat, with the strap. 3500 for the seat, but the whole bike comes with it! LOL sorry I just worked an 18 hour shift and my mind isn't right!

...somehow I think James' seat will cost less to ship...

Hey James, is that a Euro seat or just the standard stocker minus the strap? Guess we'll know when you post pics (as I answer my own question; I only worked a four and an eight, split by dinner and a brief nap.)

A solo won't have a strap, regardless of whether it's the standard or Euro...

Pics, please : )

Billet - pics? Odd...unless I'm just assuming that a) all S1 solos are similar to my S1W factory Euro seat, and strapless; and b) logical thought leads me in the wrong direction, that being that a solo seat has no need for a strap since the driver (hopefully) holds on to the handlebars, and not the seat.

I've been wrong many times before...this case would be no different for me, lol.

The solo on my 97 S1 came with a strap Visible next to my hand on the seat. I always thought it was a State requirement.

Frank - I think that's a twin. Note the passenger pegs. State rule is, if there are passenger accommodations (seat and pegs), there must be either a strap or a sissy bar/backrest.

I'll pull my twin out of the box and put it on my solo, and take a pic of the difference. It ain't a lot. Erik's been quoted as saying the S1 seat wasn't designed for more than one cheek at a time (or something to that effect) - I wonder what he planned on the passenger putting there. But this is a 'family' board...lol.

Just for grins, I pulled out my 98 catalog. It only shows the S1W as having a true "solo" setup, with rubber caps over the passenger peg mounts and the Euro strapless seat (pictured below on my bike, you can sorta make out the black rubber peg cap next to the breather filter). Yes, the "twintail" setup is larger than the stock S1 setup...but all the S1 pictures in the catalog show a "2-up capable", we'll call it, seat with straps and factory passenger pegs. Can't tell if its the same tail section as the solo on the S1W, though.

Rider and passenger better be closely acquainted, is all I have to say. lol.

It says
B.O. BOSTROM CO,. INC.
BOBCO P/N 2002-0533
BUELL P/N M0090.9
MFG.WK OF 11/22/96 PO309203

Fortunately I took a picture of it before I boxed it. It was a bit fuzzy to post.
