if its for a TT it would RAISE the rear of your xt or Ss wouldnt it, since the TT have more travel and sit higher.

be careful changing just the rear with no front to compensate though.

ok it made me curious so i went and measured the shocks on our TT and xt. they both measured 14" from eye to eye while on the bike at full extention.

now the 08 book for the TT says it has 5.50" of ground clearance.

and the Ss says it has 4.60" ( i dont have an SS or an S to measure the shock on)

so i would think it would raise anything but ulysses and the xt/tt would stay the same height.

maybe your shock was intended for an Ss originally? then i can see how it would lower an Xt/TT.?

not trying to mess up your sale or anything just wanted who ever gets it to be aware.

I am glad you are giving input, I was confused too. Thinking of jacking up my SS for a winter project : )

So, does this mean it would lower the rear of a xb12x about an inch? That of course if the front was lowered about an inch.

It is indeed a TT Shock
