Sorry. Withgrawn from sale. I've decided to put it back on next winter.

Turbo.
This is an Aerocharger kit that I bought unused to suit a 1200 Sportster. I have made new parts to put it on my Buell, (brackets, exhaust, boost tube etc) so nearly all the Sportster parts are unused.
The turbo itself only has about 1000 miles of use. Two plenums, one chromed standard, and one with an intercooler fitted. Also comes with the smaller Aerocharger intercooler.
I took it off because I want to do more track days with the S1. The turbo makes it's power too fast for me when I'm already on my limits at a track. On the street however, it's great. At low revs, it's like riding a Sportster, so it's gentle in town. Open it up though...... ; )
I had planned on swapping between the 'track' version and the turbo'd 'street' version, but since we've moved I just don't have time to play with it anymore. It's a shame to see it getting wasted sitting on the shelf, so I thought I'd put it for sale here first.
Included are the Autometer boost, fuel pressure and EGT gauges.
There is also a newer header than the one shown in the pics.
Asking € 2000.
Base price is here.
Oh, I'm in Holland, but shipping is not that expensive.
If you have any questions, please ping me at my email address here.

SgtB,

The first question is this:

Do you want to plumb the head vents back into the intake tract or not?

If, yes (this is the easiest) pull the pipe plug out of the spacer and thread the "T" fitting in in its place. Run a short piece of line from each head to the fitting. This route maintains EPA happiness in the world.

If, no (the best for the engine) leave the pipe plug in the spacer. Use a three way "T", run each head line to the "T" with a single line going to a convenient dump place. Run the lines all downhill. Run the dump line down and across the rear of the engine under the battery tray. Weave it down between the primary cover and the frame. Curl it to the rear and out between the sidestand and frame. Tie strap it to the frame(no filter) and let it dump here. If your motor does puke some, it will oil the pivot for you and makes any clean-up easy.

Going thru the KV will net you lots of ideas. The above two would be the easiest to accomplish.

Peter - that's awfully tempting. Would it fit an S2?

Brad,
Thanks mate!

Henrik,
The only thing I would question would be the rear exhaust header. I don't know what the frame is like on an S2 compared with an S1. I have made another one that also comes behind the frame. Now that I look at these pics again, if the cam cover is not cut down as well, it may also have a clearance issue there...........

Of course, I could also make the rear header on that pipe come over the frame again though. That's not hard.

Lee,
I never got around to putting it on the dyno.
I have seen Roc's S2 (which I *think* is fairly stock apart from the turbo) put out 125hp on a dyno at about 5500rpm. There was an ignition misfire happening above those revs which stopped it doing a full power run that day. This one should be similar to his set-up.

Rocketfella,
They're cool bikes, but I think I'd feel a bit like the monkey humping the football trying to ride it... :)

Rocketman... where have you been? Still riding the nickel plated/CF S1? You do know that that bike if yours is somewhat of a classic amongst us the original BWB's. Don't know if you've heard but I have acquired a bike outside the brand. A 2002 R1. Like it ok. Quite uncomfortable and with no energy stired in the motor. Will accelerate like no other.

Tell us about your bike.

Seeings as eBay has been a total looser for me lately can anyone advize me regarding the realistic values I could expect for a new - I mean new not something from the scratch and dent bin - 01 and later primered fairing lower (S-3T)with hardware, a new Amazon Green front fender and a new Amazon Green fairing with vent screens. The fender and fairing were ordered for an 2000 S-3T - new in the original boxes.
Thanks
Ron

I paid $40 for a pair of perfect lowers for my S3T that are factory painted the same as my bike. All hardware incl.

The fairing should do better at least $150 - check with the guy who wants to put it on his M2.

The catch is, they're only worth real $$ if the other person needs them that color.

Hey Brad that RGV of mine is a bone stock 1994 model with only 3500 miles on it. I don't think it's ever been ridden in anger until I got it! Does it scream? Well not so loud with those stock pipes unfortunately, but when it hits 9 gees it just picks up it's tail and flies to 12 grand in all the gears. I've had it pegged a few times but I can't seem to get her past 120 but it's a good 120 judging by the company I ride with. I bought it off a mate who rides a 916. He bought the RGV for track days, never got around to it, put 65 miles on her in 10 months then passed it to me. We both went out in the dark the other night. He doesn't like pushing it in the dark on the 916 . He was well impressed by the poke of the little stroker. Well he would be, he never got past me, dark nights or not! Yeah yeah, bragging again!

Pete you would fit it easy despite being a big monkey. They're pretty big bikes physically for a 250, but I understand your excuse LOL. The weight it carries as a street bike makes you wonder just how fast the GP 250's really are. This thing is a GP bike with lights really. They're a pretty high tech package and in 94 when mine was born they were retailing just under £5000, phew!!

Jose I'm still here mate. Nice of you to ask after the S1. Is she really that infamous LOL. Now let me think where I last saw her. Ah that's it, I stuffed her into a rather large container on the back of a flower lorry on its way to Holland. I was gonna get her fixed up over there but all that went to pot in the end. I'm told she's sat in a warehouse somewhere near Schipoll airport awaiting her return to England. I got held up in repair procedure because of all the legal wrangles, wasn't aloud to touch it, but in the end I am to receive a new pair of crankcases with my original number stamped on them, but that only got sorted this past July, a whole year after she blew up. I've not been completely idle with her though, I've collected a few parts to rebuild her with and am quite excited about getting her back to fix her. I'll be rebuilding her myself this time. Several main dealer monkeys have already failed her so I might as well make a mess of it too eh LOL. To be truthful I keep thinking about selling the Buell and buying a Brutale S, came close a few weeks back but the price was £1500 more than I thought and I just couldn't push the boat that extra length. Maybe next year, we'll see. I miss the banzai nuter bastard high speed the Buell just can't offer. Pete's Aerocharger kit? Sure if I had a bottomless pit full of money.

So you got the R1 with the funky rear light eh? Very nice looking bike. Very sci-fi. Rode an early model R1 a few years back but my mate only managed a few miles on my S1 before his teeth were falling out, hence he quickly demanded I hand him back his R1 before I got a chance to get angry on her, damn!! Speaking again of Japanese bikes, I've just got hold of a nice RVF400 (NC35). Fixing up the damaged fairing and radiators and hopefully be riding her in a couple of weeks. Tell ya, these Jap bikes are good when it comes to pinning your eye balls back into your skull. The horizon rushes past so much faster on a big Jap multi that's for sure. Enjoy the R1 and I'll keep you (all) posted on the S1W
