It is heavy nylon and it actually has a really nice liner that is windproof and zippered sleeves and zippered pockets and snap down collar. Really warm so other than the fact that it doesn't have armor it is like a riding jacket. It is my favorite jacket and in very good condition. I no longer have Buells so I am going to offer it to someone that can use it. I think it was about 85.00?
