Looking to buy an 03 or newer Lightning. XB9's are preferable but I would also consider an XB12 if it's close to home. 4,000-5,000 is my price range. I live in Frederick, Maryland and am willing to drive anywhere within 3-4 hours for pickup. Thanks BTW, great forum. | ||

hey bud, i live on the eastern shore and have a red and amber xb12R. i know you are looking for a lightning but this firebolt has the lightning footpegs and a superbike bar kit to give you that upright riding position of the lightning. i have the Zero Gravity +2" windshield for it and it really helps. i went this route because i liked the riding position of the lightning but wanted the firebolt's wind protection. it has under 12,000 mi and was purchased from Annapolis HD. i'm the second owner. asking $5,000. let me know if you want some pics!!! | ||

Thanks for the message. I appreciate it. This is an 04? I have thought about going with a Firebolt and doing exactly what you have done. The combination of it not being the bike I really want and it being at the far end of my price range will probably cause me to continue my search for a while. I would like to see some pictures if you have them handy. Who knows..I am getting itchy to ride.  I am fond of the red/amber on the Firebolt. BTW, oddly enough I have some family that live on Rabbit Hill Road which is right off of Roberts Station Rd. Pretty close to Sudlersville. Don't happen to know any Murchake's do you? Just figure you all know each other out there just like we do here in Fredneck. | ||

no...but it's funny that i don't. I go down rabbit hill road all the time, two of my best friends live there. i just washed the buell yesterday, i'll get some good pics for you. the stock windscreen is back on because i was considering trading it in next week. | ||
