When you get to your destination... The top case is removeable and has a shoulder strap. Leave the saddlebags behind or release the 4 securing points and easily lift the entire unit. Very versatile. I bought these used off of ebay for $100.00 +$50 shipping and will not be using them (My days of long-distance travel on MC's are far and few.)
