Just moved and only have room for 1 bike now. My 2004 Lightning (I'm the 2nd owner) is looking for a new home, 30K miles but great condition. I'll sell the bike, 2 keys, owner's manual for $4000. For $500 more you get all the parts and tool I've collected over the last 2 1/2 years for this bike. For another $500 I'll throw in the Panasonic CF-M34 computer (pretty cool in itself) that I use for the tuning and diagnostic software. I don't want to start selling anything separate yet, but that will probably come if someone doesn't go for the whole package within a reasonable time. I live in Fayetteville, NC and would be willing to deliver up to a couple hundred miles or so. There is a picture in my sig, but I could post more if needed. It's just a regular Lightning. I've done all the work on the bike since I got it in July 05, pretty much according to schedule, if not better. A well used service manual and Lightning parts manual are part of the package deal. The only problem I know of is the LED taillight I got from Adrenalin-Moto has some white LEDs for the license plate light which have gone out for the second time. I can't bring myself to buy another taillight, even though it looks sharp. I still have the stock tail complete. There's 6 months left on the inspection sticker, so there is plenty of time to fix it. I recently fixed an oil use issue, new valves with blue viton oil seals, re-ringed at the same time, about 1400 miles ago. In Jan. 08, I put in a new clutch hub and basket and primary chain. I just put a new Diablo Strada on the back, got about 9K out of the last one. Just switched to all HD SYN3 in the engine and trans/primary. I have all the stock parts except the stock seat and stalk mirrors. It has a new oil cooler too, so that leak is gone. It has a new battery, less than a year old. I bought a new primary cover when I bunged up the clutch cable hole. The old one had some boot marks so I decided to go ahead and replace it. I had an insert put in the old cover to fix that problem, so now its good. 2 extra sets of injectors with new o-rings.I keep a spare clutch cable, new style with plastic sleeve. It has a whole new side stand with all the updated pivot pins and stuff. When I was fixing the valve guide seals, waiting for parts, I trashed the throttle body, so that is all new, too. That means new injectors and throttle position sensor as they come with the TB. It was originally red, so I have all that body work. Right now its black, the only real motorcycle color, but I have the translucid orange flyscreen and airbox cover if you're in that mood. I also have the 4" taller flyscreen from I don't remember who and the CityX handguards. There's a set of Renthall medium rise bars with bar ends. For extra snap around town, there is an XB9 primary chain and sprocket. I bought a streetfighter seat when I first got the bike to replace the stock seat the 1st owner modified to his liking, but I like my CityX seat for more leg room.
A machinist friend made 1" extended rider peg brackets. There is plenty of room, and I'm 6' tall. He also made a billet open airbox cover which looks great under the Valencia Orange airbox.
Right now the mods are a regular Drummer exhaust (have stock with all cables and wiring), Race ECM, K&N ail filter, Wave brake rotors. It is wearing a stock airbox cover, but I also have a swiss-cheesed stocker and a 07 stocker. There is an extra bar clamp under the handlebars to raise that 1" for a more relaxed position. The brake and clutch levers are the black versions of the stock pieces. It has a set of bicycle bar end mirrors that aren't as cool as the CRG Lane Splitters I used for a while, but give my old eyes a better view of what is behind and coming up. I put a new coil in when I got the Magnecor Spiral wound plug wires. I have the VDSTS software, got that from American Sport Bike. Also, I have the Direct Link software, but the key is locked to my 04 stock ECU. About the time I got the DL software, I decided to just leave the bike mostly stock. BTW, that's a Servo Emulator in the middle of the DL box.
The Panasonic computer is a CF-M34 Toughbook. It is the military model, ruggedized. PIII 400MHz, with external floppy drive, an external CD drive and a the big port replicator. It has a serial port, so you don't need a serial adapter. It has the bright 8.4" touchscreen and Windows 2000 Pro with CD. It has 1 PC card slot and 1 USB 1.1 port and a 10 GB hard drive, about 20% full. I just bought a high capacity battery for it too. All covers are intact.
I'm going to give it a chance to go as a package before selling piece by piece. For tools I have the 2004 Lightning Service and parts manuals, A DP rear stand and a Pit Bull front stand. I have a 250 lb. Snap-on 1/2" drive clicker torque wrench for the engine sprocket and a primary locking bar. I have a clutch tool for taking apart the clutch. There is an O2 socket and a Head temp. sensor socket. I'll throw in a pliers type plug wire puller, makes the rear plug wire easier to R&R. For fork work, there is the cartridge fork tool set from Traxxion Dynamics, with a bottle of their 125-150 cartridge fork fluid (that's what is in the forks now). I also have a silver ceramic Force Streetfighter exhaust, 4 piece. Looks tough, loud as hell, a real head turner if that's your style, but doesn't work too well with a mostly stock bike. I lost a spring for it so the Use Force people sent me a whole new mounting kit with all clamps. Nice people, I wish it worked better with the DDFI. You would definitely be different than all the rest with this one. PM me if interested. We can talk about it. I have an ad in the local paper, but this is a Harley town. The local dealer quit selling Buells about the time I bought mine. Later..... Jim |

Its been fun, but all things must pass. Say hello to the newest Bueller, Seeinstars. He went for the bike and all the tools and parts. I hope he has as many enjoyable times with the bike. This is Rootintootin signing off for now.
