All I lack is a front rotor for my Buell front end conversion on my 1200S, if you choose to part it out soon, I'll offer $110 shipped.

Hi Mike I meant strange funny not strange evil.

Seems like an awful lot of work to sell a bike...or parts...or deliver...or ship...or? A lot to keep track of.

I know what you mean about the market these days...tough.

best of luck

Phelen,
Wrote down your interest on the rotor. Sounds like a high offer for a front brake rotor though, obviously I'm not up on piece part pricing. Before I do any disassembly I'll jack up the bike and spin the wheel and do a thumbnail check on the rotor to check for any obvious warping. I'll also have to check with any potential wheel buyer if they expect to get the rotor or not since I sort of included the rotor with the wheels in a previous post (plus I don't look forward to removing the rotor bolts/screws as some have had to resort to heat to get them out and I don't want to mess up the wheels while trying to remove a brake rotor). (There I go again, typing too much, argh.)

Joe,
No problem. Sometimes my humor is a bit off center, then frustration creeps into the equation. Yep, lots of work, but do I sell it whole for $1,500 (on a good day), or part it out and have the leftovers for spares for the S2? Somedays I feel like just throwing the rack back on it and loading up the saddlebags and hitting the road, but then reality and responsibilities come back into the picture.

If someone has a decent, reasonably light, center console(optional), deep-V aluminum 14'-16' fishing boat with a reasonably newer model outboard (4-stroke preferred due to impending SMOG/EPA rules/regs), I'd give that serious consideration in swap or partial swap for the M2 engine alone. Something like this, but I'd have to check the total combined weight with trailer against the weight limits of my car and hitch setup:

Or a rowing shell suitable for limited open water and acceptable for someone with my weight:

Shiznit (insert appropriate verbiage here)

Off the market, I'll send out emails and apologies to those who expressed interest in parts and such. Market sucks, not enough to make it an easy decision, other factors, then this post ( link ) struck a nerve. Can't do it.

Feel free to flame me, I'll be working part time at the bicycle shop raising funds if you need me. Bike will be sitting in a corner carved out of the garage waiting for summer weather. Maybe I'll scratch the Dunlops and get some stickier tires for it and get a little loose with it, who knows. Life goes on, don't know where it's going, but it is going, I'm just trying to hang on and stay between the ditches.

Any mods/custodians, feel free to ashcan this whole thread.

Mike
I understand the dilemma and think you've made the best decision based on the few options available. It ain't eating anything, and if it was gone you might decide you missed it more than you thought.
It was an interesting and entertaining thread anyway. Like a book or story where a couple breaks up and finally finds their way back to each other in the end. We've had lots of those.
Happy endings to you!!
