Look down the page.
Bamaboys 97 might not be quite as nice but no one seemed to want it except as a donor bike for about half the money.
Trinkets remove from the value not add.

I checked it out...true a nice bike...but doesn't have that different sharpness to it. No custom paint.....not nearly as many add ons. The only time add ons take away is if it's less than 1000 miles or a collectors edition. We've built 2 custom bikes with S1 & X1 donor bikes. You never buy a bike like this or Bamaboys...you buy one that's wrecked or someone who's desperate and giving it away. We were one of the first ones in our area to build a 280 rear tire out of an S1.

Better than you would think! It's still a very drivable bike. Now I think the bikes with 330's and 360's are ridiculous...but 240's and 280's are still ok. Maybe you should build one yourself...let me know what you think!

I would rather have a 3.25x18 universal with rear suspension than a fat tired ridged.
Personal preference.

Dang, that 200 rear tire looks funny on that 5.00 wheel, I think you need about 2 more inches of wheel to fit that tire correctly.

Maybe a little wider...but not 2 inches. Don't want that "stock or tiny" look and it doesn't totally affect the ride if you know how to handle the bike to being with.

This is from the Ducati tech library.

When you mount a 190 tire onto a 5.5 inch rim it's profile becomes slightly incorrect. The too-narrow rim forces the tire's outer edges inward into a tighter curve so that you can't use this part of the tire effectively. A correct tire profile creates a correctly-shaped road contact patch essential to optimum handling, better sidewall stability with less tire flex and, and better overall tire wear.

So if a 190 won't work correctly on a 5.50 rim then how would a 200 work right on a 5.00. It has nothing to do with "knowing how to handle the bike".

Yeah, you can ride the bike but they handle like crap, anything over a 190 tire will handle like crap, especially 240s & 280s. I bet that you will start to see Moto GP running 280 rear tires since they handle so well, maybe buell needs to throw a 280 on the 1125 to make it have an advantage over the other manufactures.

Notice I said doesn't "totally" affect the ride...I never said not at all.
It also depends on the design of the tire. Not all tires have the same sidewall stance....even being the same size. Same applies to cars..not all 225/60/16's sit the same on the exact same rim. I never said it was perfect..just said it's not like it has major rollover when riding.

See that..why does everyone go to extremes!!! I never said they handle GREAT..or handle SO WELL! The statement about the 280 was made after someone commented on the 280 Bike I posted a pic of and said it must handle great. If they took time to notice..IT'S CALLED A RIGID..OR aka "Bar Hopper"...NOT A Moto GP RACER!!! It's still a fun ridable bike..but I wouldn't be carving corners sunday morning with it!..(but it will get you laid on saturday night..lol) Funny thing...all this talk. Has anyone built a ground up bike in here? Has anyone done anything from scratch or just modified an existing bike? If you did..then you'll know it's stretching the envelope...going outside the box that makes up tomorrow's new item. Trial an error sometimes..not picking an exact item for your bike out of a catalog. That's like the guys that put inverted sportbike front ends on Harleys.
No Moto GP won't be building that style bike to handle a 240 or 280. Also the cost factor...ever buy a 240/280? They're not cheap...so a race tire in that size would be even higher haha...since we're talking nonsense and extremes.
