I have sold my 06 XB9S-X (getting a Uly!) and need to sell this custom horned tail I made for it (never installed).

It was made from a stock Buell tail, so it's all aluminum. The curved license plate mount is steel (strong as hell). The hardware mounting this is all stainless (nylock nuts with lock washers- it ain't gonna fall off).

I had everything professionally powder coated black (I think we went with %60, which matches fairly well to the sheen of the stock black parts of the bike: wheels; bars; etc).

Turn signal holes are NOT drilled. So if you have the integrated tail lens, you are good to go. Or, you can drill holes in the sides for your small LED signals, like many people do with their shaved cheese grater tails...

There is some very MINOR scuff marks on this. Can get better pics of this if requested.

Anyway- I have no idea what to ask for it, so I guess feel free to present some offers. If I don't get what I feel is fair, I'll throw it on ebay or something...: D

Here are a couple more pics. This was right after i made it, and I had spray painted it.

*It has since been entirely sandblasted (ALL paint removed) and powdercoated!*

It looks sweet. How is the license plate illuminated? The plate will hit the tire... I had mine straight down when I did my tail chop and it hit, I had to bend it out and make it more horizontal. Would look sweet on a show bike!

I don't think it will hit the tire. I took that into consideration when I designed it, and placed the mount pretty far to the rear. ;)

You'd have to REALLY bottom out HARD for it to happen, and even then, you're not going to damage this thick steel mount, or the license plate.

I planned on lighting the plate with LED license plate fastening bolts.
