I really hate to do this as I'm in love with my Firebolt, but I've been bit by the "Uly-bug" and there's no way I can have both.

Here it is, my 2004 XB12R Racing Red Firebolt:

I purchased this bike in October '03 from Ray Price HD/Buell and it has been my baby ever since. I was working at the dealership at the time and this was the first XB12R Firebolt the dealer received. It has a build date of September '03. I've put a little over 31k miles on it since then and it has never left me stranded. The 500 mile service was done with HD360 oil, but at 1k miles it was switched over to synthetic (engine and transmission) and has been on synthetic ever since and changed more often than needed. It was low-sided once back in '05 at VIR South, but I spent less than $100 to fix it. It's been through quite a few changes and modifications, I'll try to list the current ones here:

  • Drummer exhaust (newer design with removable end cap)
  • K&N air filter (from factory race kit)
  • Drilled air box
  • Dobeck Techlusion TFi
  • Cometic base gaskets
  • EBC HH+ brake pads (GFA345HH)
  • Pirelli Diablo Corsa IIIs (2 track days and ~2k miles on them)
  • HD "gold" spark plugs
  • Hand-polished header
  • Drummer timing cover
  • Traction grips
  • Buell air box guard
  • M2 Horn (louder and better tone)
  • Buell Frame pucks
  • Zero Gravity double-bubble windscreen (dark smoke)
  • Polly heaters
  • Pre-load adjusters
  • '06 drive belt
  • '06 Front isolator
  • '06 air box intake screen
  • Buell touring passenger pillion
  • Factory service manual

I'm sure there are a few other changes I'm forgetting at the moment. I also have a bunch of extras including stock parts, a Race ECM, an assortment of footpegs (lightning, traction, etc.), spare levers, Buell tank bag, a nice outdoor cover, etc. I'd like to transfer some of the extras onto my future Ulysses, so we can negotiate those items. The bike has a clean title and is currently located in Fuquay-Varina, NC (just South of Raleigh).

I'd like to get $6500 for the bike. I realize there are other 2004 XB12s out there with fewer miles for less money, but I maintain that this one is better, mostly due to its compulsive (read: anal) owner. I am of course open to Ulysses trades.

*Edit: merged picture folders, all the pictures I currently have of the bike on-line (3 pages of them) should now be visible through the link above.

I'm getting dangerously close to trading the bike in on a Ulysses. Any serious offers?

Odd. My junk filter is set to the lowest setting and it's set to put junk email into a separate folder rather than deleting it. Not sure why it would bounce it back to you without telling me. In any case, I added your email to the safe list so the next one should come through.

I got the pics. : )

Your bike is pretty enough, but it's not the first one on my list. I've found a clean low mileage Ulysses at a dealer and I've been offered a fair price on it, so that one is my first choice at the moment. Also, I need to sell my KTM before I can make a move on a Ulysses. If the KTM sells and the other deal falls through I'll definitely let you know.
