I'm looking for a stock Blast muffler rear strap. The Vance and Hines that was on the Blast I just bought makes my ears ring, so I just procured a stock muffler, but need the rear strap for it since it's the the same shape as the V&H.

Thanks
Toby

Toby,

Im not quite sure what youre trying to get, but if its similar to the EX clamps just go to any truck supply shop (big rig) and get one. They use them for their air cleaners and other induction plumbing.

Wasn't any straps on my stock blast pipe. brackets and everything were welded straight to the can.

My P3 Blast Manual shows something called a "rear muffler strap." It's a U-shaped piece of metal that slips under the rear of the muffler and is bolted into the frame above the muffler. My bike is in the shop, so I can't look at how the existing Vance and Hines that I'm looking to replace is attached in the back. Without this strap, the muffler would be cantelevered far beyond the place at the front of the muffler where the muffler itself has a slot for bolting it to my frame. If my darn scanner worked, I'd post a picture, from page 2-57 of the P3 Blast manual.

Good idea on the truck supply parts for a strap. That may work.
