Well, it sure doesn't seem to be going anywhere fast (except down the freeway on my way to work, of course!), so check back when the X1 goes...
Truth be told, now that the weather is finally getting consistently nice I'm far less motivated to sell- I love this 'Bolt! A Uly will far better suit my needs, but, IM(not very)HO, the firebolt is far better looking and much more fun to ride solo...

Seems like a good day to adjust my thinking and refresh my ad...
Need better passenger accommodations, so I'm moving to a Ulysses. As I can't afford 2 bikes, my Firebolt is up For Sale. Still love my 'Bolt over the Uly any day, so this is tougher than I thought.
04 XB12R Firebolt, Red, bought new in Oct. 05. ~8k miles- mostly highway commuting.
-Factory Warranty 'til Oct 07.
-Helibars. Seem to be rare these days!
-Heated Grips
-Buell Frame Pucks
-Amber ZG Touring screen + OE screen
-Newer Conti Road Attacks
-New headlights, replaced under warranty.
-New Plug Wires, replaced under warranty.
-Synthetic Fluids, H-D Primary, Mobil 1 oil
-By-the-Book Break-In (Very tough to go easy on a Buell for that long!)
Bike was just gone over by Western Reserve H-D/ Buell and given a clean bill of health. Bike's in great condition.

I'll keep that in mind- don't think I'll be trading it, though. If it takes long enough, I'll be able to rationalize keeping the 'Bolt AND a Uly! |

Did you get one of those at Dave's special price at Appleton? He had a sweet deal in 05...
I understand why you would want to keep the 'Bolt. I currently have a 'Bolt and and Triumph Tiger and I just love swapping from one to the other. There are a few roads where I ended up on the 'Bolt and wished I had taken the Tiger since they ended up being so rough it wasn't fun any more.
Also I'm already amazed at the price drop of the XB9R I bought used, the prices in this place actually reach the books trade-in values sometimes! So first I wished I had know that place BEFORE I bought mine and second I'm considering spending $2K to bring it back to Europe with me next year. |

Thanks for the props, Blasterd! In my opinion, it IS the perfect 'Bolt. Much like my previous 9S, though, it's not perfect for passengers- or I'd be keeping it!
