self-tapping screws will secure any old big twin (evo or earlier) points cover (sorry, i know that's not a term we use anymore, but....) to the inner plate. you can pick anything off the wall at smhd. you even get a discount! lucky.... | ||

i've got a stock one, too though, off my 06. i replaced mine long ago. | ||

oh sure... you could do that, if ya wanted to be all proper about it.  matter of fact...yours will probably stay on longer than mine if ya do it that way. |
