I've been thinking of purchasing one of these bags, but I've wondered how the bag comes off. Is it complete? Can it be used and is it practical on a XB12R? Thanks,

Yes, the bag is complete just as I received it. Mounting is a three point buckle system. 2 front straps and 1 rear strap are held in place by air box cover bolts, bag buckles to these straps. Included is a rain cover and shoulder carry strap. I've applied Scothguard to the bag to so as not to need rain cover in light rain and to help keep the bag clean.

Buell advertises the Deluxe Tank Bag for R, S, and X models, should work fine on your bike Paul.
