99 S3s did not have a carb. Are you converting it from fuel injection to carb?

Yes, I am...so if you have one for a 98, or really any other stock Harley CV carb, that would work.

ive got a CV carb with slide and jet kit installed already from a 2000 M2. interested? if so, PM me and make me an offer.
...oh, i may or maynot have the manifold, ill look but i dont think i have one...

I've got a really worked up CV-40 carb that I took off my X-1 (converted to carb) and the stock (reworked on the inside to flow a bit better) intake goes with it. The carb has the modified slide with a shimmed 88 sportster needle needle. Current jets are 48 and 195, also has a thunder jet installed with a 100, but I have 2 other jets for the thunder jet that go with it. This was a hot running carb, I took it off to go to a CV-44 when I did the head and cam work. PM me if you are interested.
