I'm looking for mounting brackets for an M2 fly screen.
Not sure if all flyscreens bolt patterns are exactly the same (I suspect they are), but I'll try X1, S1 or maybe blast mounts to see if they work.

Are you looking for the L brackets or the ones going to the forks? May have a set in the garage. I'll check tonight.

Don't forget there was a change in the brackets in 2001.
This was to make room for the tach...

I'm not exactly sure, but I think you need to use the old style flyscreen brackets with the old style headlight mount. If I recall correctly, the new style flyscreen mount is integral with the headlight mount.

I have a '99 M2 so it's the old style (two part setup) with the L-brackets..but I'll take either type. I don't have a problem with replacing my old head light mount with the newer one piece if that's all that's avail....

The newer bracket may actually be a better fit since I have the tach and speedo dash.

Thanks....

Those are the old style headlight brackets, not the flyscreen mounts (they're shown upside down in the pic).

The old style flyscreen mounts will accomodate a tachometer, btw. They also give you the option of taking the flyscreen off without leaving the mounts in place.

For what its worth, I added a tach to my 2000 M2 using a Buell factory tach kit.

That came with a tach and dual instrument mounting bezel but all the other brackets (for the fly screen, etc.) were left as they were.

I couldn't imagine figuring these engines out without a tach. I look at it more often than the speedo.

This has to be the longest discussion of Buell flyscreen mounting brackets in internet history.
