This is the latest incarnation of my blast, I am getting ready to order a set of XB9sx handlebars for it, with the hand guards, after that, some rearsets. This winter I repainted the tanks and the bug deflector. I also added a set of fog lights and i am working on finishing the modification of my front fender.

Did you step that pipe, and perhaps add a torque cone to preserve your bottom end, an M2 adjustable needle would probably help in the middle section as well - lol - how about a pic of the fender? Looks likes she's comming along nicely.

No, I have not done anything to the pipe. I was surprised, I thought I would get a fairly large HP shift when I took the can off, but very little happened. I lost a little low end (maybe 2 or 3 HP) and gained some top end (I wouldnt say more than 4 HP). I think I would really notice a difference if I cut the end off the reverb tube, but I have no plans to do so

What seat/tailsection are you using - that looks really doable - like that tail section a lot - makes the lines on the bike clean and smooth - very tight!
Definately Blasting on the Dark side! You cut a lot of steel but kept the basic hard structure and added a sub - frame - is that prefab or a one off - very nice! I also wonder how it feels - you'll need to take that puppy for a ride yourself and let us know how it feels - especially in the corners!

The subframe is from an XB9R, I'll be using stock seats also. I also have a swing arm that I might incorporate later down the road.

I'm going to try to have the left foot peg mounted but Monday. Of course no promises being that I have to change out a timing belt on an Escort. I bought an X1 shifter assembly to install on it, hopefully it will make up the distance being that the foot pegs will be slightly further back than a stock XB. I'll keep the pictures coming as I make progress.

Oh Yeah forgot to mention, when it's ready for paint (Being that I've been informed by Daves that Buell never made a white Blast) I've decided to go with the VR paint scheme on it.

Thats fine with me Burn, I can't give any specific time when it will be done though. I might end up going back to Okinawa for 10 months here soon.

I got my new Raask 4 way adjustable bars today. They are well made and fit the Blast pretty well. The knuckles do touch the tank at full lock, but I'm just going to remember not to turn that sharp.

If I were to flip them over and re adjust them, they could be much more aggressive, but until I get rear-sets, they are best suited as is.

Other folks with the adjustable bars said they trimmed a quarters width off the end - each side, and clearance problem solved. I thought those where the Jotta Adj./Laverda bars - too many names for the same thing - lol - they look tight though and a perfect bar for the red to step up to - I'll bet you luv the adjustability! Where did you get yours?

I like them alot. I got them from Buster's, its a UK based company, and listed on the Raask (manufacturer's) web site.

At Busters, they're listed as "jota bars". Other places they are called Laverda's, or Jota Laverdas, or Raask Jots's. It's all the same thing.

They come in Chrome or Black, and Mine have a "raask" sticker on them that you can see in the first picture. Raask is the actual manufacturer, and their website includes a list of all their distributers, including Omar's.

It got these from Buster's for 57 pounds, shipped. I think that's about $90 bucks. Omars wants $125 + $13 shipping for the same thing.

Ok heres one for today. Got the X1 shifter mounted, I still have to cut it down about 2 1/4 inches though so you can get your foot under it though.

I wouldn't - would make for quick toe shifts - what shift linkage set up are you using? And did you have to modify the primary case to use it?

Completed

The linkage is done.

I used the linkage from an X1, drilled a hole in the primary and tapped it out. Cut the linkage about 2 1/4 inches.

Looks Good Ski,
It's real similar to the setup that I have on my bike with an XB shifter.
