The cylinder on this Blast is silver and has B41 on it. Is there any external way to confirm if it has been changed? I'm wondering if they've changed to an XB9 cylinder and piston.

The XB cylinders have much more fin area than the Blast or 883. But they are all interchangeable. So you can have an XB cylinder with a Blast head and vice-versa. How the head mounts to the frame will spell the difference in heads.
