Hi, I am having problems with my little Blast that I cant figure out. At my flasher I have a hot a ground and another wire thats purpleish. The purple wire goes to the switch. I bought new electronic flasher which I put in all my bike to run LED and it works good, but cant get either new or old relay to send juice to switch. Does the relay send hot or ground? When I jump the purple and hot at flasher connector the turn signals come on no problem there. Just cant get relay to work right. Thanks for all the help you can give me.

A little confused: it works, but doesn't work?
Is this a direct plug in unit or something that had to be specially wired?
Is it custom wired in any way?
Did the old flasher work with the old signals?
Are you running 4 LEDs?
What happened when you hooked up the old flasher with the 4 LEDs?
What happens now if you hook up the old flasher now?

I jumped the red and purple at the flasher conn. and all of the light lit up. Is there another component I cant find? No juice will flow thru the relay. The old relay and the new electronic relay wont send juice

Sorry, I still need the same questions asked.
It is possible (as has happened) you've unplugged and plugged into something that is not the signal flasher.

Hey Man, I fixed it. The old relay was bad and the new relay the load and hot where switched. I pulled the connector off and switched them and now it is flashing like crazy now. All that for something so simple. Lost 3 hours on my build. All I have left is jet it a little higher on the pilot jet because I took airbox off. I have new paint, wide glide headlight and it was looking pretty good.
Thanks again for being so kind to help. I will post some pics when I am done.

Glad you got it working!
Dont go wild on the pilot jet. #45 or 46.

Oh and I put a piece of fuel tank filler hose as my boot. It was a perfect fit nice and snug, sprayed it down w/ carb cleaner and no vacumn leaks. Yippie.

Have you shimmed the needle and changed the main jet? What air filter are you using?
Experience has proven that almost everything besides the factory boot will fail. Yes, seems odd, but in the past 11 years we've heard repeatedly that anything else but the stock boot fails. So if you have any running problems, don't bother seeking help until you install a factory boot. That's just the way it is. :/

Because there are no positive stops on a regular piece of tubing to stop carb from sliding out - which it does while running.
