not started for a little over 6 days from florida to colorado in a UHAUL for starters, also relocated from sea level to 6,000 Ft.

I'm assuming for one partially is not having been started for a week straight as well as maybe having to change jet size or do EZ's airbox mod.

Just looking for any input on the situation, I would be grateful to have this worked out before i have a 45 min drive twice a day to work soon : )

thanks for any and all help.

You are not riding in Colorado in the winter time - so let that little crazy bird go and you'll be fine.
Fresh hi octane 93 a must, dump the old - maybe get a new gas tank gasket as well - what is your current jetting? Turn air screw out a full turn - see if that helps.

Not winter time but at least for the next month or so i will be here, im running stock jetting on a 2003 42/170
also have D&D exhaust. so i figured with the airbox mod it will bring it closer to recommended jetting above 5000 ft.
with exhaust and mod rec is 44/170 where as without mod it says 165. either way if its not necessary it will certainly help the bike. I just wanted to make there wasnt something else i should do or maybe try first, like the fresh gas or gasket which my head is so consumed with whats got me up here ive been forgetting small things like that,
haha.

btw EZ ive read through many of the posts on here over time and saw you might be located in colorado? is this still current?

No, currently in the Bay area of Ca. Used to live in Colorado Springs area for 3 years - great riding there. May move back.
