Author Message   Mnemec80 Posted on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 - 09:59 am:        Ok so I have a 2001 buell blast that I bought a few months ago. It was left in my friends garage for 6 weeks and won't start now. I have replaced the gas, the plug, the spark wire and changed the oil and filter. If I spray starter fluid into the carb it will start if I give it a lot of gas and keep the rpms up but then it will stall out. It's classic intake boot failure. Get one from THUMPE.   Cgent Posted on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 - 07:32 pm:        It's simple ... on any other bike, truck, or car, it's always the "module" ... on the Blast! it's gotta be the "boot" ... ... actually, once I learned how to start my bike and control the engine (and not let out on the clutch with the kickstand down)then the original factory replacement works just fine.
