Ok so I have a 2001 buell blast that I bought a few months ago. It was left in my friends garage for 6 weeks and won't start now. I have replaced the gas, the plug, the spark wire and changed the oil and filter. If I spray starter fluid into the carb it will start if I give it a lot of gas and keep the rpms up but then it will stall out. Can anyone help me?

See the next post ... I'm no expert but it would seem that almost all issues with the Blast running nicely have to do with leaks in the rubber boot connecting the carburetor to the engine intake ...

Cgent is right. It's classic intake boot failure. Get one from THUMPE.

It's simple ... on any other bike, truck, or car, it's always the "module" ... on the Blast! it's gotta be the "boot" ...

... actually, once I learned how to start my bike and control the engine (and not let out on the clutch with the kickstand down)then the original factory replacement works just fine.
