alright im going to install a set of HID's into my blast and i just want to make sure im looking at the right kit here since theres not a lot of information on this for the blast.

i was gonna go with this kit not sure if 35watt or 55watt yet but a H4 Hi/Lo bulb
http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/DDM-35W-55W ...

then i was gonna wire it up with this time delay relay
http://www.ebay.com/itm/HID-Relay-Time-Delay- ...
or this one
http://www.wolstentech.com/products/timedelay ...

just want to make sure this is all correct.

Nice price, the time delay links don't work, nice idea - I just picked the 35 watt as on and low as off, plenty of light at 35 and I can turn it off if doing any electrical work, low battery, etc..

People have said local car alarm installers have the time delay relays as well.

And I think if you find the right VW Bug "Fuel Pump Relay", that might be even better (turns on when engine running, off when just on battery). I've not tried this yet, but deduced it may work that way (long story).

im not sure what happened with the time delay links but heres the one i think im going to go with
http://www.ebay.com/itm/400461997727?ssPageName=ST RK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

its pretty cheap and looks like it'll be easy enough to wire up and i would think 10 second delay is enough time to get the bike started before the lights flick on

as for the HIDS ive always seemed to have pretty good luck with the DDM kits

alright so im looking through install stuff and im trying to figure out where i would wire up the relay into the Hi/Lo harness because i dont want to compromise the stock headlight connector, so im wondering if i just got a simple H4 HID kit and didnt go with the Hi/Lo kit that would make it much easier on the install but im wondering then what would happen when i switch to high beams, would the light just go off?

Exactly. Unless you hit the push to pass button, then the high and low will both be on.

That's how I wired mine up. It also gives me the option of hitting the high beam switch if I am in an area where some road authority may be deciding to just hammer anyone with a HID. I can hit the high beam, have a normal filiment bulb on and the HID off.

I have 35W HID in both the Uly and the car and the difference is like night and day.
The first time the wife took the car out she asked "why have we been driving around all these years with out headlights?"

I put the HID low only option on my "new" XB12SS Just turn on the high beam every time you shut her down , and back to low just before you let out the clutch.
