anyone having ethanol/gas problems? only 2 stores here in town have 100% gas. bike is stock 2006 blast. plugged the hose into the carb, and put a breather under the seat, about 6 months ago bike shut down and lost throttle. after a while finally got it to idle back up, and i mean i couldn't even give it 1/4 throttle without choking it out. finally it cleared. got a new das boot and had the fuel system clean and carb cleaned. same thing happened tonight almost out of fuel and it started again. pushed it to the gas station and filled it up. after about an hour of letting it idle and giving it throttle it finally cleared and i got home? i know that ethanol is bad for carbs. what is everyone else doing ethanol shield at fill ups? straight gas. sea foam is that added to the fuel system?

I agree crap in the fuel or water.

The paint shaker action agitates the water into suspension so it can slowly be "burned" instead of sucking up straight water.

Check the oring on the gas cap.

I use a fuel additive in my fuel in every veh. I own...I either use some Marvel Mystery Oil or some Lucas fuel additive just to counteract the Ethanol problems....

Stations in the North (at least where I am) sell non-ethanol premium, usually at select pumps. Often called "snowmobile fuel". Thats what I try and use unless I'm out of town.
