Why is the cut-out on the front isolator misaligned? Is my engine too low?

Also, even if this were the correct height, my socket wrench will not fit between the bolt and the header. Has anyone else had this problem?

Yeah, I would like to do something about that.

Do you have any experience with removing the exhaust?

Is your machine (mis)aligned the same way?

WD40 the crap out of it & try an open ended wrench from the LH rear.
You can clean up all the rust on the pipe by rubbing it down w/WD40 once a month or so. It smokes a bit for a while but it will eliminate the rust.

Thanks for that - I am also planning to use some header paint as well.

The real question, however, is about that misalignment. If every Blast looks like that, cool. If not, why is my engine lower than it's supposed to be, and what damage might that be causing?

DB: I'm sorry I missed the part about alignment. Like Styx says check your front engine mount.
You may find that if you take the pipe off & reinstall it it will go back in a slightly different position as it could be down to the gasket being worn out.

OK, looks pretty terrible to me. That bolt looks too close to the engine...will I need to replace the front cylinder head tie as well?

That is good news. I am thoroughly confused by the archives, however (talk about several different orders to get the correct bolts and such).

Is there an updated kit and/or part number since '08 for that isolator?
