I'm moments away from buying a Jardine exhaust with the quiet core but there are two different sizes of cores. 2" and 2.25". Which one do I need?

2". I bought a Jardine and the Quiet Core this summer. As a few pieces of bent metal, it's way over priced, but all exhausts are that way. Anyway, it's a great bit of kit, and I'm glad I bought it. I had the carb adjusted for it. It is somewhat peppier up to about 50mph, then the improvement is less pronounced, if any. It is louder than stock only somewhat.

Thanks Titus

Yeah I'm just looking for some 0-60 pep. I'm never on a road that allows me to reach speeds over 55.

Also looking to add some cool factor to the bike as well. ; )

Use front lower stock mounting hardware.

I installed the Jardine using the Jardine supplied hardware. I had read EZ's warning, but the Jardine hardware seemed to be fine and I used it. I have checked the hardware several times over the past 4,000 miles and there have been no changes, and I have had to make no adjustments. Perhaps at sometime in the past they supplied a softer bolt.

Check for cracks around the can to header and tab mount - that solid mount has caused a lot to crack.
If they increased the weld points at the neck and tab - it could cure the problem, but no one has ever did a comparo of old Jardine and new can - lol
