The '09 is a bit pissed off at me I guess, jealously factor for ridin' the other bike, so the front tire suddenly decided to quit holding air then take it from there.

Not leaking from valve stem with soap test, no visible puncture wounds. Guess first will go ahead and replace valve stem anyway and then see if it will hold air.

So...here she is on the lift:

Nice "motorcycle lift" ... looks as if it might also come in handy for getting yourself up into higher places. LOL

Hubby using the other lift ???

I'd still like to meet you sometime ... if you are ever going through the midwest ... Winchester, Indiana ... stop & see us. Dixie & I own & operate COUNTRY GENTLEMAN downtown on the square ...

That lift is pure genius! *smack forehead* I owned one of these lifts, yet I went out & bought jack stands.

Even w/out any soap bubbling, could it be bead seating problem?

Before you remove the tire from the rim try re-inflating it, leave it 24 hours & see if it still retains air.
I'm saying this 'cause my rear on the Uly went flat, had no obvious signs of a leak & when I re-inflated it it held (& still holds) air.
As was said above, it could just be a bead seating problem.

I know you're not supposed to walk under a ladder, but.....
It is genius!!!

Concur on the reinflation. If you ignored it long enough it will slowly lose air. Perhaps it did get low enough where the bead unseated (or leaked a lot).

I had the same issue, P3 went nearly flat twice during winter, i pumped it up twice, put about 300 miles on it, and its not leaking anymore.

Over on the GL1800 boards we would get into a long conversation about the virtues of nitrogen in tires versus air about now ...

Personally I use a 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen mixture, with just a dash of argon, carbon dioxide, hydrogen, neon, helium, and other gases.
